HOMMAGE À TÉTA

, ,

A tribute to the Lebanese grandmother.

“Hommage à l’Héritage” is a collaboration between Joumana Dagher (Lebanon) and Marie-José Jed (Singapore), two childhood friends reunited through art and craft.
“Hommage à Téta” honors every Lebanese grandmother — protector, storyteller, and silent strength of the family. The design blends mosaic, floral print, and intimate memory around a portrait that feels both familiar and sacred.

Each illustration is painted by Marie-José and crafted into a pouch in Lebanon by Joumana and her artisans.
Each piece is a love letter to the women who built our roots — one memory at a time.

This piece is designed by Joumana Dagher, a Lebanese designer who turned surplus materials into meaningful accessories. The pouch is made from Durafabric a waterproof, wear-resistant fabric originally used for sunshade curtains. Instead of discarding it, the fabric is upcycled and transformed into a functional textile that carries a new story.

Every detail reflects the philosophy of the brand:
repurpose – up-purpose – re-life.

The fabric is resistant to water, sunlight, and everyday use  making it ideal for travel, organization, and daily wear. Each pouch is cut, printed, and finished in Lebanon, supporting local artisans and preserving craft traditions while moving toward more conscious fashion.

All pouches in the Hommage à l’Héritage collection are crafted using Durafabric  a waterproof, wear-resistant textile originally made for sunshade curtains. Instead of being discarded, this surplus fabric is collected, cleaned, and upcycled into a functional material with a new life. Each piece is cut, printed, and finished in Lebanon, merging artistic illustration with local craftsmanship. A story printed on fabric and a job preserved in every stitch.
