But, when you sit and talk with designers that have a background in architecture or graphic design you realize that their craft is more than creating special things, it’s the detail and push to create something practical, needed, and useful. These types of designers see the world in a more detailed way, giving consumers well thought out products. With a background in graphic design and having worked in advertising, Lebanese designer Joumana Dagher took her passion for print and entered the fashion industry by creating her stylish, yet practical handbags.

Something as simple as color and texture inspired Dagher to get into fashion. “I loved experiencing with all kinds of materials as a kid. I’d collect fabrics and small pieces of wood, and mix them with my painting tubes. After years in professional graphic design and advertising, I took my passion for materials and print and turned it towards the fashion industry in 2013 by launching my namesake brand of handbags and accessories.”
